We are the Egelkraut family – a small family business. In July 2025, we moved from Upper Franconia to the beautiful Wangerland region. Our farm includes 10 horses, 2 miniature donkeys, 4 goats, dwarf rabbits, and chickens – children, in particular, have a lot of fun exploring and being amazed. With us, youll experience the North Sea from a family perspective: cozy accommodations, a rural idyll, and plenty of farm animals. We look forward to welcoming you as our guests!

Our apartment building with five vacation apartments is idyllically situated, surrounded by expansive meadows and fields – perfect for anyone seeking peace and relaxation. For families with children, our farm is a little paradise: - a large playground with plenty of play equipment - vehicles for children to whizz around on - plenty of outdoor toys. Since the road is a bit further away, children can also play outside without worry while their parents relax. Here youll find a rural idyll, peace, and plenty of space forages.

The German North Sea coast is one of the most popular holiday regions in Germany and offers vacationers a wide variety of recreational and leisure activities. The North Sea coast offers everything from family holidays on the beach to cycling tours in the flat countryside. A trout fishing lake is located just 500m away, and the surrounding restaurants and leisure facilities are easily accessible by bike or car. The sandy beach in Schillig, just 2.5 km away, offers guests a well-rounded program with its adjacent campsite and the resulting leisure activities for young and old. Minsen is located directly on the North Sea and is the ideal destination for anyone seeking peace, nature, and the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea. At low tide, you can explore the unique mudflats, go on mudflat hikes, and discover the unique flora and fauna. The small coastal town offers Frisian charm and fresh sea air, inviting you to relax and unwind – perfect for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. The well-kept towns of Horumersiel and Schillig also cater to guests culinary needs with excellent restaurants, located just 3 km from the holiday property. The surrounding towns, such as Jever (23 km), with its brewery and castle park, can be easily reached by car or bus. Another popular day trip destination is the city of Wilhelmshaven (17 km), which is worth a visit thanks to its many museums, the naval harbor, the Jade-Weser-Port, and the North Sea Passage.
